Heather Lewin: fiddle, vocals
Heather Lewin has been singing and playing stringed instruments (violin, viola, cello) for more than 30 years. She took up Irish fiddle in 1999, as a result of her involvement in Irish Ceili and Set dancing. She is a two-time Midwest Fleadh Cheoil Champion and has competed in the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann. Heather was also the 2007 recipient of the Ed Ward Irish Music Scholarship. She has performed and recorded with many local and national acts, such as The O’Shyttes, The Mighty Lumberhorn, The Tossers, The Consorte of Somesorte, Bounding Main, Andreas Transo, Scott Lucas & the Married Men, and many more. Heather has been teaching music since 1998 and currently teaches at the Milwaukee Irish Fest School of Music, Family Music Center and Brass Bell Music Store. She also enjoys playing for dancers as a Feis Musician.
